LETS GO RED SOX!!!

As a lifelong Met fan, I have not had much to cheer about ('86 Series and '00 LCS notwithstanding). So when the crosstown rival Yankees get PASTED by their hated nemesis, I am a happy camper! And from the standpoint of an overall baseball fan, it is fantastic to see the Red Sox finally get some comeuppance on the Yankees. That they became the first team in baseball history to come back from an 0-3 series deficit makes it all the more historic. Congrats to Terry Francona for his managing skill, to David Ortiz for winning Games 4 and 5 and getting the LCS MVP award, to Johnny Damon for his two home runs in Game 7 that made it a blowout, to Derek Lowe for pitching 6 great innings, to Pedro Martinez for not letting the "Who's Your Daddy?" chants get to him... that much, to Curt Schilling for winning Game 6 despite an ankle injury, and to the rest of the Sox. Will John Kerry emulate his fellow Bostonians in a couple of weeks? We shall see!

And to George Steinbrenner... HA!
